Novelist and comic book writer Neil Gaiman has Tweeted that he will be putting together an audio book based on the Tweets of a thousand of his Twitter followers.
That came out totally sounding as if Gaiman were a Mayan Sun God of sorts. Hey, that’d probably please his fans to no end.
Anyway, how this will work is this. The event will take place on this Twitter page at 12am (GMT-8:00) on 13 October 2009. Gaiman will start off with a first Tweet
and you start adding your 140 letters in, continuing in a round-robin style. Ensure that your addition must be hash-tagged #bbcawdio and with a @BBCAA.
The sponsors, BBC Audiobooks America says, “When roughly 1000 Tweets are logged, we’ll edit the contributions and compile a script, then head into the studio to record and produce the audiobook. The final audiobook will be downloadable free on our website and also available as a digital download at iTunes and other audiobook retailers.”
Of course, you can follow the man himself here on Twitter or physcially when he swings by Singapore for the Writers’ Festival next weekend.
